My achy breaky arms

Posted in From the Future Thin Guy on 12/14/2009 by Ganns Deen

Earlier this week, I did weight training for the first time in months. Legs on Tuesday morning, then arms on Friday morning. I’m in pain. That’s a good thing. 🙂 I’ve also been more conscious with what I’m eating, so good for me. Salads once a day, cereal in the morning with skim milk… I’m feeling good about this. Slow and steady wins the race. I also have great plans for the Christmas break that hopefully will have me coming in to work a little slimmer in 2010. 🙂

I can’t wait to start running again.

Meanwhile, honesty policy: I weighed myself this evening and I’m 214lbs. So I guess we have to start from there.

This is where I’m headed

This is what I looked like at 140lbs in my junior year in college. I don’t quite know how to feel about it; I’m mostly sad but I’m also angry about how I “let myself go.”

2009’s almost over. I have little net weight loss to show for the year; I actually gained. Tinginingining! By this time last year, I was close to 200lbs. Now, I gained that back, and I’m currently tipping the scale at 214lbs.

So we start anew. I’m using this picture as a motivation. Did lower body exercises day before yesterday, did 30 mins of brisk walking today so I wouldn’t shock my system, and I’m doing upper body tomorrow. Once I get soda out of my system – yeah, I started up this year again, sorry – I imagine it’ll be heckuva lot easier.

This is a good place to be, folks. Let’s try this again. 🙂
