Back on the bus

I did a 4k last Tuesday. It was my first run in more than two months – I know! I’m sorry! – but it felt pretty good. More importantly, when I awoke the next day, I didn’t have any leg pain, which tells me that I might be all set to resume my thrice-a-week runs.

I was all set to run this morning, then Typhoon Tropical Depression Feria came in and rained on my parade.

No matter. I’ll find time to walk about the building during my 12-hour shift at the office today. *mumble grumble rassum frassum*

Also, a great big “Thank you!” to Anton, who sent me several e-books on diet and fitness. Thanks, bro! *hi-five* I’ve read two already and they’re extremely, extremely useful! I’m particularly excited about Warrior Fitness; most of the material in this book contain exercises I can do at home. They don’t look easy at all, which means NEW CHALLENGE! A shout-out, too, to Chinkee Tan, who donated a bottle of chromium picolinate to my cause.

Today, I woke up at 4:00am but went back to sleep because it was raining. It’s now 5:20am, I’m about to hit the showers and prepare for a great day! Breakfast will be cereal with Nesvita Pro-Weight Management milk and chopsuey with ground chicken breast; 10:00am snack is a cup of yogurt; lunch will be salad with a grilled porkchop, and dinner will be up for grabs (I’m thinking of getting some sashimi from Tokyo Tokyo).

I’m back on the bus!

  1. Hi Ganns. Good that you’re back running. Hope everything’s well. Take care my friend!

Hi Wayne! So glad to be running again. It is such a high! Thank you for posting and for all the encouragement!

  2. been following your blog through RSS, and I hadn’t seen you post anything in such a long while that I thought you either quited running and moved on to another sport or that you have already achieved your fitness goals and have no need for running anymore. anyway it’s great to see some activities in this blog again, and it’s great to hear that you’re back on the road!

Hi Wilson! When there’s no activity on a fitness blog, it can also mean that s/he has failed and is now embarrassed to blog again. LOL I am far from my goal! I’m looking at a more gradual pace and hoping that discipline will carry me through.

Thank you for your encouragement, Wilson! I really appreciate it.

  3. you’ve been absent for a long time but we are glad to know you are back and running. :)

That’s true, Kuya Ibet. I’m sorry! Huhuhuhu!
